Windstar Cruises has expanded it’s list of exclusive and immersive destination cruises to include voyages to Australia and New Zealand. These new cruise itineraries will begin departing in 2020 and 2021. Windstar has been adding a lot more ports of call to their roster in recent years, but this is just the latest announcement from the company. Windstar is known for its small ship voyages, bringing a community feel and an exclusive experience to its passengers. There are 6 new itineraries from Windstar that feature New Zealand and Australia. The six new cruises will set sail aboard the Star Breeze and run from November 2020 to February 2021. There are 9 departure dates available.
The Star Breeze
The newly renovated Star Breeze ship will be leading these voyages. The Star Breeze is a 312-passenger, all-suite ship that is that is designed with luxury in mind. The ship sports a world-class spa and fitness center, 5 dining venues, and a beautiful new pool and deck space. The new renovations to the vessel are part of a $250 million upgrade across all three Star Class ships of the Windstar fleet. The small ship has the unique ability to get to some smaller ports that larger cruise ships cannot access due to their size.
Australia
The itineraries in Australia boast visits to some of the most iconic ports in the country, and visits to some of the best-known locations. On the Australian voyages, you will be able to experience both the wild and sophisticated sides of the country. Visit the Sydney Opera house and the Great Barrier Reef. Explore the more remote reaches of the Australian coast, like Middle Percy Island.
New Zealand
New Zealand itineraries feature trips that bring you to locales both cosmopolitan and indigeonous. Visit cities such as Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch. Enjoy an authentic Hāngi meal, and experience a Maori show in Rotorua. New Zealand itineraries also feature a wildlife cruise in Dunedin.
Best of Both Experiences
There are 2 itineraries that move between the two countries. Cruise between Auckland and Sydney. Experience wildlife sightings of kangaroos, kiwis, and koalas. Visit classic locations such as Melbourne, and reach the smaller port of Phillip Island. Guests will also get to enjoy a high-speed catamaran excursion through the Whitsunday Islands National Park.
